Who we are.

Hey, I’m Vic—and I have the joy of pastoring The Gathering. Here’s a little about me:

I’ve been in ministry for over two decades with a deep love for Jesus, a calling to walk with people in their faith, and a passion for the city God has placed me in. I’m originally from Dallas—Texas in my bones—but Raleigh really has my heart. We’ve lived here for 11 years now and love it! You’ll usually find me with an iced pour-over in hand, sneakers on my feet, and a game playing somewhere in the background.

At home, life is full and loud in the best way—music turned up, Family Fridays, lots of basketball, and the occasional family freestyle (yes… we rap or try).

God has been so kind to give me a family that keeps me grounded and grateful—so let me introduce you to my crew:

Alaina — my beautiful bride and an incredibly talented wedding photographer.
Leo — my little dude and basketball star.
Olivia — our sweet daughter and family princess.

Our family has been diligently praying for you!

My son keeps saying it’s important we tell people about Jesus and my daughter thinks we’re physically going to grab our tools and build a church (too cute) . Either way, we can’t wait to meet you!

    We are more than a program and more than a building. We are a spiritual family, formed by grace, united in Christ, and called to live life together.

    4. The Redemptive Work of God

    We value the redemptive and transforming work of God.
    We believe that through Jesus Christ and by the power of the Holy Spirit, God restores lives, forms hearts, and continually shapes His people to reflect Christ.

    We are committed to operating in authenticity—creating a space where people can encounter God honestly.

    2. Substance

    We are committed to providing substance through meaningful, Scripture-centered teaching and intentional, life-giving relationships.

    3. Spiritual Formation

    We are committed to walking together in the ongoing work of God in our lives through the process of sanctification.
    We recognize that everyone begins their faith walk at different stages of spiritual maturity. While grace meets us where we are, love does not leave us there. We are committed to walking together as our lives are continually shaped and transformed by the Truth of God’s Word and through the power of the Holy Spirit.
